Cartilaginous Fishes
Cartilaginous fishes are mostly marine fishes with jaws. Their skeletons are made up of cartilages instead of bones. Their bodies are covered with toothlike scales. They have well-developed senses that enable them to detect their prey easily. Sharks and stingrays are examples of cartilaginous fishes.
Bony Fishes
The skeleton of bony fishes are made of bones. Their bodies are covered with scales. Some of them can move from freshwater to salty water. Tilapia, hito, dalag, and bangus are examples of bony fishes.
Amphibians
Amphibians have four limbs and are also called tetrapods. Some amphibians like salamanders and newts have tails and limbs that are not well developed. Other amphibians such as frogs and toads do not have tails but have limbs that are designed for jumping. They undergo metamorphosis from forms adapted to aquatic life into forms suited for terrestrial living.
