Congruence in Isosceles Triangles

Recall that an isosceles triangle has two congruent sides called legs. The third side is called the base of the triangle. The angles opposite the congruent sides are called base angles while the included angle between the legs is called the vertex angle.

In an isosceles triangle, the base angles are always congruent.
