Diseases of the Heart
Cardiac Arrhythmia
Cardiac arrythmia, which is also called rhythm disorder, is characterized by a heart rhythm that is irregular or abnormally fast or slow. It may also be due to a congenital heart defect.
Rheumatic Fever
Rheumatic fever is caused by streptococcal (bacterial), which initially affects your throat. This fever affects your heart tissues.
Heart Block
Heart Block is due to the slow contraction of the ventricles of the heart (the discharging chambers). In this condition, the heart muscles become weak and the pulse rate is reduced to 40 to 50 beats per minute. A battery-operated pacemaker is implanted in the heart to help it beat normally.
