Waste Production
The Glossary of Environment and Natural Resources Terms defines waste as “solid, liquid, or gaseous materials or substances remaining from human activities, particularly from the production, processing, and consumption of goods.”
Nearly all of the things we do produce wastes. At home, we have so many food wastes and leftovers. On your way to school, the school bus that you take releases waste in the form of smoke.

In school, the dust from the chalk that your teacher uses is a form of waste. The paper you throw in the wastebasket is now garbage. Your leftovers after eating lunch at the school canteen are also a form of waste. You see, all of our activities produce waste.

Every day, there are tons and tons of wastes produced. Our biggest problem is how to dispose of them without bringing harm to the environment.
