Did you know that a rainbow is an example of refracted light? When you see a rainbow, the sun would be low behind you and there would be some rain in a distance ahead of you even though you may not be aware of it. When rays of light from the sun pass through the raindrops, the sun’s light gets refracted and breaks out in the colors of the rainbow. The light then is reflected to you, and so you see a rainbow!
