Introduction

Earth is not only rich in landforms but also in water forms with their diverse plant and animal life.

Being an archipelago, the Philippines is surrounded by a lot of water. Much of this water comes from two major water forms, oceans and seas. Other smaller yet as important water forms found in the country include bays, gulfs, straits, lagoons, rivers, lakes, ponds, and waterfalls.
