Tissues

A tissue is a group of distinct and similar cells that carry out a specific set of functions. Humans and animals have four types of tissues: epithelial, connective, muscle, and nerve.

Epithelial Tissue

Epithelial tissue, also called epithelium, is made up of cells that form the covering or lining of all body surfaces, such as the outer layer of the skin. It protects the body from dust, dirt, bacteria, and other similar organisms that may harm the body.
