Safety Measures During an Earthquake
The following are some safety measures that can be helpful in preventing injuries or accidents during an earthquake.

• Do not panic. Protect yourself from falling debris that can injure you.
  
• If you are indoors, stay under a sturdy deck or table to protect yourself from falling objects.
  
• Stay away from windows, fireplaces, and heavy standing objects.
• Do not run downstairs or go out of the building while the ground is shaking.
• If you are outside the house or building, move quickly into an open area, away from buildings, electric posts, and concrete walls.
• If you are driving, park your car in a safe place and stay inside the vehicle until the ground stops shaking.
