Earthquakes
Certain forces within the earth act on the crust and cause it to move. Such strong and sudden movement shakes the ground, resulting in a break or fault in the rocky crust, followed by sudden slipping of rocks over one another. The movement then causes destruction on the ground. These changes take place during an earthquake.
An earthquake is the trembling of the earth’s surface. During an earthquake, the energy stored within the earth is released and reaches the surface, causing it to move.
