Importance of Electricity

Electricity enables you to use a variety of machines and equipment that make your work easier to do. Laundry, for instance, can be done faster with the help of a washing machine. Telecommunications depend on electricity as well. Cellular phones, landline phones, satellite networks, and computers are useless without electricity.

Some machines and devices convert electricity to other forms of energy. Electricity is converted to light energy in light bulbs, to mechanical energy in boats, to heat energy in toasters, and to sound energy in radios.
