Methods of Asexual Reproduction
Grafting
In grafting, a branch or a stem is carefully cut from one plant and joined to another. The branch or stem shares the food and water that passes through the stem of the mother plant. Grafting is done to improve the quality of some plants.

Layering
Layering is a method of plant propagation in which a branch of the parent plant is bent to the ground then covered and held in place with soil or sand. The buried portion will develop roots, and the stem will continue to grow from the tip. After the new plant is established, it is separated from the parent plant and grown in a new location. This method is widely used in propagating vines.
