Living Things Respond to Changes
Living things can respond to changes around them. They are able to respond to light, touch or feel, and temperature. A sunflower, for example, moves toward the direction of the sun.
The leaves of a makahiya or mimosa plant fold up when they are touched. When a person touches something hot, he or she automatically withdraws his or her hand.
