BASIC POINT-LINE-PLANE POSTULATES

Geometric concepts and terms are interrelated. To understand the axiomatic development of geometric concepts, it is important to know that some statements are considered true even without proof.


Definition
A postulate is an accepted truth or fact.

The succeeding postulates describe the basic relationships among points, lines, and planes.


Postulate 1. Line Postulate

Two points determine a line.
