Climates in the Philippines
Type II Climate
Type II Climate has no dry season with a very pronounced rainfall from November to January. Areas with this type of climate are those along or very near the eastern coast; hence, they are open to the northeast monsoon. Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Samar, Leyte, and Eastern Mindanao have this type of climate.
Type III Climate
Type III Climate has seasons which are not very pronounced. Areas with this type of climate experience relatively dry weather from November to April, and wet weather for the rest of the year. They are exposed to the southwest monsoon and are partially protected from the northeast monsoon. The western part of Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, the eastern portion of Kalinga, Apayao, Benguet, and Ifugao, most areas of Cebu and Negros, as well as the southern half of Palawan, have this type of climate.
Type IV Climate
Areas with Type IV Climate experience a more or less even distribution of rainfall throughout the year. Batanes, Northeastern Luzon, the western part of Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Albay, and Western Leyte have this type of climate.
