2. Get Plenty of Exercise

Exercise at least three to four times a week. Simple exercises like brisk walking, biking, swimming, and stretching strengthen the heart muscles and improve blood circulation.

3. Say No to Smoking and Alcohol

Cigarettes contain harmful substances like nicotine which increases the heart rate and blood pressure.

Alcohol can cause high blood pressure.

Drugs like barbiturates, solvents, cocaine, and amphetamine can lead to heart failure.
