What is Pollination?

The reproductive cycle of flowers begins with pollination. Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from the anther of a flower to its stigma.

It allows the male reproductive cells ( pollens ) in the anther to meet and unite with the female reproductive cells (eggs or ovule) in the ovary of the flower in order for fertilization to take place.
