The Sun

Have you also noticed that shadows are of different lengths? Some shadows may be much longer than the actual objects; some may be much shorter. Some may even be just roundish shapes underneath the objects. This too is due to the sun’s position in the sky. Short shadows are formed when the sun is high up in the sky. Shadows of intermediate length are formed when the sun is at an intermediate height in the sky. Long shadows are formed when the sun is low.
