Theorem.
Opposite sides of a parallelogram are congruent.

Given:	Parallelogram ABCD
Prove:	$\overset{__}{AB} ≅ \overset{__}{DC}$ and $\overset{__}{BC} ≅ \overset{__}{AD}$

Proof:

Note that a diagonal of a parallelogram divides the parallelogram into two congruent triangles.
