The last of the verbals is the participle, also called the participial adjective. A participle is a verbal that is used as an adjective. It describes a noun or a pronoun. A participle usually ends in -ing or -ed. (Participles made from irregular verbs are an exception.)
In the example:
The people worry about the leaking dike.
"leaking" is a participle.
