Subject Pronouns

Personal pronouns used as the subject of a sentence are called subject pronouns.

Examples:

  • He is my father.

  • She won in the essay writing contest.

Object Pronouns

Personal pronouns used as the object of a sentence are called object pronouns.

Examples:

  • My father loves us.

  • Everybody congratulated her.

Possessive Pronouns

Personal pronouns that show possession or ownership are called possessive pronouns.

Examples:

  • Aunt Ursula gave me her book. The book is mine now.

  • Mr. Musngi owns a store. His products are organic fruits and vegetables.
