Components of the Investigatory Problem
Science utilizes the scientific method, a systematic way of acquiring knowledge and solving problems. The scientific method is also known as the investigatory process. In its basic form, the investigatory process is not as complicated as the procedure that trained scientists and researchers perform. You may have even experienced the process yourself to solve a problem but you were not aware that you were using it.
The investigatory process is made up of the following components:
- 1. Research problem
- 2. Hypothesis
- 3. Experimental design
- 4. Data organization
- 5. Data interpretation
- 6. Conclusion
- 7. Recommendation
- 8. Summary
