Indefinite, Relative, and Reflexive Pronouns

Indefinite pronouns refer to things, persons, or places in general.

They take the place of nouns that cannot be named or identified. They do not replace definite nouns.

Examples:

  • Many liked the activity.

  • Several finished the activity very fast.
  • Nobody found the activity difficult.

Note that in the above sentences, many, several, and nobody do not refer to any specific person.
